Oddily, the wear on this door reminds me that life takes its toll, albeit slowly. One day, one crack at a time. We are the sum of our experiences and often we stand in spite of them.

Footprints aren't interesting in and of themselves, but these were the only two on the roadside. Each heading a different direction. You were here. Which way did you go?
Welcome to The Focus Project.

Often the hustle and bustle of daily life becomes overwhelming and staying grounded can be a challenge.  This blog is my attempt at gaining some perspective through the lens. I want capture the little things that get overlooked every day. Step back and find a new angle on the mundane. Appreciate the ordinary and the extraordinary. Remember that there's more to living than the daily grind.

It's a simultaneously lofty and uncomplicated goal. Exploration, reflection and clarity, not the individual photos, are are the end game. Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best...

"Life is a journey, not a destination."
